Nobody denies any of that . However , in high vol. markets traders pay extra attention to TA .
Charts are more definitive and less prone to subjectivity . That's all I'm saying .

There are dozens of approaches to TA, which have pros/cons in different market environments. So it's not about "TA not working" -- it's just that individual systems are static, whereas markets are dynamic. Identifying the market condition, volatility, fractality, volume, and one's personal risk tolerance should be done PRIOR to following particular indicators or strategies.
Additionally, certain tools can be especially helpful in discerning a trending market from a range-bound market (Bollinger bands, keltner channels, and ADX to name a few).

First inclinations are VSB on the short term, VAB, or ZAG. Looking to add a bit of fixed income exposure for the time being to ride out this potential long term bear market in my TFSA/RRSP. Thanks!
Similar question, gold ETFs? Was looking at XGD, ZGD, or HGY/HEP for gold fixed income exposure. I know your play on GLD was more strategic allocation as gold is more of a hedge against additional QE/dollar deflation and has broken out pretty aggressively. I'm long physical precious metals, this is more about risk-off equity exposure especially without access to money market funds (GICs only) Thanks! Sorry I know these aren't specifics, if it doesn't fit the bill for the service please let me know.
Great video .
If in times of high volatility TA is considered preeminent , can't the opposite be said when the VIX is low 15's ? Leading me to think this is just sideways bullish consolidation .
Although , I have to admit ,the VIX merely shrugged it's shoulders at the depth of the selloff .
