Yes, private credit has been blowing up, all starting with, first, the breakdown of the key 15.74 support, which I highlighted (in advance) as the likely catalyst for a blow-up in the private credit sector way back in early Aug. My apologies for not having time to go over all the nuances, as well as direct & indirect (ripple-effects into other sectors such as the banks) right now, but click on this ticker tag link for BIZD & it will include all of my discussions (and trades) on it.

The first link below is coverage & trade ideas on BIZD & the private credit sector witht the 2nd link below the initial video back in Aug when I first predicted a problem in the sector, where it would start to manifest in the charts (short entry below 15.74 key support) and where the initial drop once that sell signal was triggered would take BIZD (we covered that short there & then reversed/bounced it as a long, then back short again). I believe I stated coverage on BIZD back towards the 2nd half of the video:

https://rightsideofthechart.com/tag/bizd/

https://rightsideofthechart.com/swing-trade-ideas-8-7-25/

Now that private credit was the catalyst with ripple effects that are spreading, I’ll be closely monitoring & highlighting the next potential shoe(s) to drop although we recently triggered the big sell signals on the stock market I was looking for so pretty easy to simple position with swing or trend short on the indexes and/or the key risk-on sectors (tech, semis, Bitcoin, etc..) as it should start to morph into a more broad-based (everything must go, liquidation sale), if & when we take out the next couple of swing targets/key supports on my daily & weekly charts of QQQ & SPY. Not there yet, but getting close & it could happen this week, although I think the dip buyers might come in here (10:40 am, as I type) first with a few key sectors & indexes at support)

Certainly a potential factor. A lot of things are unwinding & it all started with the blow-up in private credit with the Tri-Color & First Brands sudden bankruptcies (caused by the persistently high rates & Fed’s loss of control of the mid & long-end of the yield curve). Iran & the crude spike was simply another catalyst to get the breakdown from the multi-month trading ranges in SPY & QQQ, which was already priced in as a very likely event. Now other things have started to & continue to unwind & will eventually make the headlines.

HI Randy, what do you think about the unwinding of the Japan carry trade? That could be part of the risk of declining US asset that no one talk about.

From chat gpt – Fridays put call read

Equity (0.58) ? still call-heavy (bullish/speculative)
Index (1.02) ? real hedging / downside protection
Overall ? split market:
Retail/speculative flow = still buying calls
Institutions = hedging hard

It always seems to gravitate toward 50/50… the hard part is choosing which 50 to go with at the right time! LOL
