Appears to be solely related to the ETF, allowing it to diverge from the underlying’s price action.

“Grayscale Bitcoin Trust, or GBTC, saw its share price rally almost 9% Tuesday, after a panel of judges appeared to be skeptical about the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s arguments during an appeals court hearing, as Grayscale continues its push to convert GBTC into an exchange-traded fund.”

At the same time SPX filled its lower gap and reached the 61.8% retracement, adding to the potential for a bounce in all things priced in USD.

Right now, though, the $DXY did just hit the the Jan 6th intraday high of 105.62, which could be resistance for the dollar, and a bounce potentially for gold.

With the DXY ripping and yields rocketing higher, it does not look good for precious metals. I’d say the trend is still down from the January highs in gold and silver, and the recent bounce was a counter-trend bounce.

It was in a comment that he added to his post from this morning.

I got stopped out on my longs, does it look this is a trend change in the metals?

I did not receive that update.
