Honestly, if Trump sees crime drop and a significant decrease of drug flow into the U.S. from Mexico because of these ICE sweeps then he’ll probably work to keep the alien workers from leaving in mass and get them on the path to citizenship. Trump’s the first President to really treat this drug catastrophe like an actual war! I think you’ll see surgical drone strikes on the Cartels before you see productive alien workers rounded up and deported. Trump is the first real Capitalist President we’ve had …. Do you really think he’s so stupid as to send the largest most productive economy in WORLD HISTORY into ruins! Granted, immigration put America in the driver’s seat as an economic juggernaut in the last Century, I seriously doubt we’re being held up in that position by Illegal Alien labor! LOL

my chief sales officer just told me that we are not shipping parts unless our customer pays for the tariffs. We do about $1M in sales per week. The market will stop this nonsense within a week. The only question is how far does everything have to fall to change trump’s mind.

Tariffs get withdrawn (at least from Mexico) if they take back a ton of illegals. If they take back a ton of illegals, the US economy will collapse from an explosion in labor costs as most Americans won’t work for anything close to what the migrants from Mexico & other Central American countries will work at & I can say factually (from both personal observation & talking with several business owners) those non-migrants that will take jobs like roofing, constructions, & working the fields, do not have anything near the work ethic (showing up on time, not calling in sick, short lunch breaks) as the migrants.

Wage inflation in those industries will explode higher as productivity plummets. This is a no-win situation for the economy IMO.

Absolutely. I noticed last week that it was backtesting the uptrend line off the Aug 5th lows from below with big divergences & overbought conditions on the daily & weekly charts. I would have included it in Friday’s video but wanted to keep it focused on the stock market (major indices).
Here’s my daily chart with solid arrows (min. targets) showing at least a correction back to the 200-day MA’s with the dotted arrows as potential targets, should the 200’s get solidly taken out.

So far “only” a 156% gain off the ’24 divergent low vs. that 200%+ average return off previous divergent lows on the weekly time frame & still shy of my sole trend price target of 4.90. The recent correction seems in line with previous bull market corrections & nat gas closed on support Friday. The updated weekly chart below (it’s an EOD chart so shows thru Friday’s close) has solid arrows as my preferred scenario, dotted arrows as my alternative scenario.

Hmmm, if Canada doesn’t capitulate to Trump’s terms then they go up, not withdrawn! I’m sure the law makers in Canada are full aware the Maple syrup harvest begins Feb 15! They’ll be putting Maple syrup in their Margaritas if they don’t capitulate this week!
