People on this site that complain when the market shoots one direction or another based on the news story of the day (which nobody can predict in advance) should not be making bets on the market. Short term swings are unpredictable and are based on breaking news stories and emotions (greed and fear). The market eventually prices equities based on demand and fundamentals, so getting emotional over the daily or weekly swings is counter-productive to becoming a profitable trader. Reading the charts is just one piece of the puzzle and timing the market to within days is a losing game. Balance your risk and your emotions will become more balanced.

I think NFLX is going to make a big move, up to, and immediately after earnings, next Tuesday. It’s on every trader’s radar, and it’s towing a big band wagon, with room to spare. Could be a short term profitable long trade, eh? By the way, NFLX is a component of the QQQ.
