Good to know. Thanks for taking the time to check those stats. I like the chart enough to roll the dice & hold this one through the report tomorrow. Should it gap up sharply, beyond the suggested stop, I'll wait 30-60 minutes for the order imbalances to subside, then place a stop limit order to cover should the stock move back above the previous high for the day up to that point.

Thanks Randy for your tips,

I've check the last three annoucements (Nov'15, Feb'16 and Abr'16)
At the open was 0%, -8,5%, -7,8% vs the close of the previous day.
At the close was -7,6%, -3,6%, 4,8% vs the close of the previous day
During the day of the annoucemente the volatility (High/Low) was: 10,2%, 12,2% and 18,0%

So seems to make big movements and the consesus are not ver good.

Gaucho- ZEUS still looks fine from a technical perspective after recently backtesting the wedge from below. Some traders prefer to close out or hedge positions before an earnings report while others might ride it out. Personally, I usually hold a swing trade through earnings but that depends on several factors such as whether or not the stock has a history of large gaps following earnings reports and how close the stock is to my preferred price target at the time (as I will often close it before earnings if close to my preferred target). Here's my updated daily chart of ZEUS:

<!-- copy and paste. Modify height and width if desired. --> <a href="http://content.screencast.com/users/RightSideOfTheChart/folders/Default/media/6f20e161-699f-46cd-929f-e84f1bc55f6a/ZEUS%20daily%20August%201st.png" rel="nofollow"><img class="embeddedObject" src="http://content.screencast.com/users/RightSideOfTheChart/folders/Default/media/6f20e161-699f-46cd-929f-e84f1bc55f6a/ZEUS%20daily%20August%201st.png" width="850" height="606" border="0" /></a>

GIR- OK, If & when I add GDX/NUGT as a short, I'll list what I believe to be the best inverse ETF to buy for short exposure (ditto for any other sector trades). As you probably know, I'm not a big fan of going long DUST or NUGT for swing trades that are expected to last more that just a few days. GDXS is a 2x leveraged short ETF so the decay won't be as bad as DUST & I think there might be a 1x short gold miners ETF but I'll have to check.

In reply to <a href="https://rightsideofthechart.com/steel-sector-overview-video/#comment-2115">Ruben</a>.

Ruben- I might do another video or at least post some charts on gold & the miners soon but nothing much has changed since this video on GLD & GDX that I published on June 29th: http://rightsideofthechart.com/gld-gdx-outlook-video/

That video focused primarily on the longer-term charts & intermediate outlook for gold & the miners and so far the charts are playing out as expected following that divergent high & the miners running into major resistance. Here's my $GOLD (spot gold) daily chart along with a link to the chart that will refresh each time you click it (although keep in mind this one uses end-of-day pricing): http://schrts.co/DVntbZ

Randy, just a comment: please mention for a sector short trade idea if there is an inverse vehicle to go long with, as some of us are not allowed to short in our accounts.
