The same tools & technics for trading on the longer-term (60-minute, daily, weekly, etc..) charts, such as buying pullbacks to support, shorting rallies into resistance, going long on breakouts above resistance, especially when combined with divergences or overbought/oversold readings, work just as well on the short-term intraday charts (5-min, 10-min, etc..).

I also like to align those quick in & out trades with support & resistance levels on the longer-term charts. E.g.- a pullback to horizontal (price) support level on the 5-minute chart that might align with a pullback to an uptrend line on the 60-minute chart. The better (well-defined as well as visible on multiple time frames) the support or resistance, the more valid it is & the more likely to produce a reaction when hit from above or below (or a breakout if taken out).

Hi Randy,

Yesterday you mentioned some quick 5 minutes chart trades.
Can you explain how you did this, what pattern you saw that made you believe it's good to enter?
I often see the market overshoot the 5 minute trend lines with ease.. In those cases how you handle your stoploss, are you adding small positions when first trend over shoots you add additional small portion? ?

Of in case of over shoot you just close the trade and wait for new moment to choose from?
