Correct. Although anything is possible, we’re probably not going to see any really big (2-3%+ down days) in the market until at least Friday (after TSLA & GOOGL report Thursday AMC) or later next week (META, MSFT, AAPL & AMZN). Until then, barring some major unexpected economic report or some really wild tweet from POTUS, the market is likely to grind around awaiting earnings from those big market leaders.
Could go the other way (up), of course, but those are the most likely potential catalysts that I see on the near-term horizon that could trigger some impulsive selling in equities & spark a rally in the $VIX.
