SMCI's fate/direction is tethered to NVDA, IMO. I just made a new front page post today (Wed) with key levels to watch on NVDA although basically, that 840 support I've been highlighting on a nearly daily basis for weeks now is the most important one to watch right now.

I've been highlighting IWM as one of my favor swing short indexes right along with QQQ for weeks or even months now, covering it at least one a week in videos. So yes, & I've also been (quite regularly) citing one of the reasons for being short IWM is that small-caps are much more dependent than large caps on borrowing to finance ongoing & future operations & as such, are more sensitive to rising rates.

So yes, I've been & continue to like both the rate-sensitive small-caps as well as the AI-bubble bloated, over-owned & over-loved tech-heavy $NDX as well from both a technical (charts) and fundamental perspective.

Regarding the "more bang for your buck", when I say that I am usually referring to trading the NDX vs the more diversified & dividend-heavy SPX, not the RUT. On the contrary, the small-caps are more volatile & tend to go up or down than lg-caps, even the NDX.

Thanks for your feedback, perhaps I am overthinking it. I am not suggesting SMCI is not a good shorting opp, but I was referring to the indices.

Randy, assuming interest rates remain at these levels or higher, due to the strength and extensive cash reserves of the top companies in NDX, isn't there more bang for the buck shorting IWM? I have no doubt the NDX will come down, there will be earnings compression going forward, but with the Russell Small cap, you have will have earnings compression and the cost of doing business is greater b/c of interest rates. Small companies exist and operate on borrowed $$ so it is a double-whammy. I know you recommended shorting the IWM, but you often say shorting NDX provides more bang for the buck. Additionally, from a TA perspective, the IWM has been the weaker of the two. I am inquiring b/c if one wanted to add to shorts, won't the IWM offer a better ROI?
