TTT is -3x leveraged (not -2x, as I mistakenly said in the post above). As such, it could experience decay & best to align the price targets with those on the TLT short in the charts above. If/as the trade starts to play out soon, I’ll try to zero in on some exact price targets for TTT or TBT (-2x short 20-30yr T-bond)

Yes, Thanks for pointing that out! I’ve always used TBT as a proxy for shorting the long bond in the past & for whatever reason, I loaded the chart of TTT & was mistaking it for the -2x short instead of the -3x short, which it is.

Same thing (and same ETF company, just 3x vs 2x leverage. Either one could work just keep in mind that a mostly unidirectional (i.e. mostly red/down days on the long bond) works in the favor of the 2x & 3x short etfs while a choppy or sideways grind can work against the position due to the potential for decay from the leverage (see my FAQ page).

Also, one would take a 1/3rd smaller position than a short on TLT if using TTT or a 1/2 smaller position than a TLT short if using TBT.
