Great question. You most certainly could (and should... I just added it) have a trendline on SOXX that comes off the key Dec 24th lows around 143. That's the same TL I've been highlighting on QQQ, SPY, XLK & other key indices & sectors. However, SOXX is quite a bit higher above that TL than most other sectors & indexes so (about 7%) so at this time, I'm more focused on the short-term trendles such as that one off the Aug 28th low on SOXX. If/when that one breaks, it would likely spark a correction that would take SOXX down to the next support around 206.72 & if/when that level goes, that more significant TL off the Dec 24th lows would be the next key support level.

Hi Randy, I have a style/format question about drawing trend lines. Let's use SOXX for my question example. Why do you prefer to use short trend lines for each of the three most recent uptrend channels instead of one big uptrend line starting with the low at 143-ish, connecting to 175-ish and then 191-ish???
