G-luck. One consideration when going long here for an expected bounce by going long call options, assuming that market does rally, is that with the VIX at relatively high levels right now, there is excessive volatility premium priced into both calls & puts. Should the market rally, especially impulsively & with conviction, chances are that the volatility premium will rapidly erode on the calls, thereby offsetting some of the gains in the intrinsic value of the call option.
With volatility high right now, my preference for trading the NDX is either /NQ (Emini futures) or the ETFs; QQQ/TQQQ/SQQQ, etc. However, when the VIX is near the lower-end of its range, I will occasionally buy puts or calls if the price (and liquidity) is right & I'm expecting a big move in a stock or ETF that most don't see coming (hence, the options are cheap).

Thx for pointing that out. The more resistance levels that come in around the same price area (e.g. horizontal price resistance, trendline R, key Fibonacci retracements or projections, moving averages, etc..) the more likely the trade is to experience a <abbr class='c2c-text-hover' title='1) A bounce/pullback off support/resistance and/or a temporary consolidation around that level following a well-established trend leading up to that point. 2) A reaction low or high is a distinct point where the price of a security changed direction.'>reaction</abbr> when that level is hit.
