I think the FED’s hands are tied. They can’t do any cutting right now IMO. Trump’s tariffs might spike inflation, and the FED doesn’t know if, when, or how long that might be an issue..
And more importantly, if the FED does any rate cut right now, it might spook the market into thinking the economy is way worse off than it is and cause a selloff worse than today’s.
The FED is in a tight box.
