I'm not exactly sure of the situation you are referring to but if I follow: I usually set my stop loss orders tactically on longs (vice versa for shorts but in reverse) what I think is just far enough out or reach of a likely stop-raid by the nefarious forces (algos, market-makers, etc.) that know where the clusters of stops are (usually just below support) and have the ability to run the stock down to hit those stops & turn around & buy then.

To expand on that, I first come up with a rough stop level based on my price target & preferred R/R on that particular trade. e.g.- If that give me a stop around $80 but I see a trendline or price support that comes in at 79 then I might use a slightly (~$1) wider stop to avoid having my stop sitting in the cluster of stops with the masses.

They bought NVDA exactly where I said they would most likely buy it exactly as it hit that level during Tuesday's video (at the gap backfill). So, as I expected, the dip buyers to step in there, and they did, there is no change to my outlook or expectation, especially since NVDA is still below that recently broken uptrend line on this bounce off the gap support. As I said then & in the follow-up video, NVDA & most of the big semis need to take out those lows from Tuesday to significantly increase the odds that the recent sell signals (breakdowns) will stick & be followed by double-digit drops in the semis.

I believe I see the H&S you're referring to on the daily chart. However, H&S patterns are topping patterns & as such, I like to look for them after a prolonged uptrend. That's not the case with /NG if you look back a few yrs as you'll see it is just coming off more of a bottom. Just my .02c but not the kind or location for a H&S that I would put much stock into.
