Keep in mind that after months of extremely low volatility/daily price swings, volatility has finally expanded along with the $VIX making a technical breakout. That, coupled with the fact this is, by far, the biggest week or earnings season with 4 of the 5 FAAMGs reporting, makes sharp rips & dips and even whipsaw signals the norm. Best to set how the day and week (via the weekly candlestick printed at 4 pm today) end up and we'll probably have to wait to see how we end up next week as well before knowing if the market is going to build on the recent sell signals or if that ~4% correction in QQQ is all we get before the next leg higher.
