Funny how the media nearly unilaterally assigned the cause for the rally as the fact that the Fed says they will come to the rescue of the markets. I've often said that one of the few certainties in the financial markets is the fact that the media will always find a reason to pin the cause of a big market rise or fall. Here are two headlines from the WSJ, the first from Friday during market hours & the second one from today:

Friday: NEWS ALERT - Powell Says Fed Will ‘Act as Appropriate to Support the Economy’

Today: NEWS ALERT - U.S. Stocks Rise on Hopes Central Banks Will Take Action

Basically, identical headlines. Had the market dropped 3%+ today, the headlines would have read: Stock Market Continues To Sink On Coronavirus Fears
