Well, during that last hour it ran up to 405 and has drifted a little lower in after hours. If it proves to be a “trend day”, what would that look like going forward? Does that mean another run at ATH before any meaningful pullback? Thanks for answering my last question.

QQQ was able to punch thru the 402.80 target/resistance on the 15m chart so that opened the door to the next target/resistance at 404.07, which has just been hit with /NQ just above the comparable 16757 resistance so, by my best guess/analysis, the market either reverses here very soon & has a decent pullback before the close today, otherwise it will prove to be a trend day (where the market continue to climb into the close. Up to you but my preference on AAPL is to sit tight as a swing trade until it AT LEAST hits that minimum bounce target just above the 187 level.

All depends on the individual. I provide analysis & trade ideas for traders & investors. Active traders that agree with my active trading setups (e.g. 15-minute chart zigs & zags) might opt to book profits on longs and/or reverse to a short position to game a pullback off support. Typical (less active) swing traders might opt to sit tight on longs until any of the higher bounce targets are hit but might use the shorter-term analysis, including support & resistance levels on the intraday charts, in order to tactically add to or subtract (book profits) on a position.

Just like the old saying "There is more than one way to skin a cat" goes, there are many ways (and styles) to trade. Typically, I focus on regular swing trading (holding periods usually measured in weeks or a few months) while posting the setups & price targets on 60-minute & daily charts although recently, the charts indicated we'd see some outsized "micro-trends", both long & short and as such, I've been posting more of the shorter-term trade ideas for the Nasdaq 100 recently.

Randy a few days ago you had mentioned a shorting opportunity with SPY and that the deal was sealed in your opinion for a move down. Can you update this? Also would love a Vix update as well.

Nice call Randy on the bounce. As I ask this QQQ is bumbling along just above the 402.80 target. According to your arrows is the 409 stretch max off the table for now until it at least falls back to 400?

IBB testing the key 138.65ish resistance while overbought & with a high-level PPO bearish crossover appearing imminent. As such, IBB offers an objective short here an/or any breakout above 139/140, as it would be likely to fail

Probably best to wait until my final or preferred target on QQQ is hit before shorting IBB as it still appears more upside likely (despite any near-term pullbacks). Daily chart below.

Randy,
Thanks for the timely updates.
I've been looking at IBB. Looks like it's near a recent high at about 138 where it formed
a double top Dec 22/Jan 23.Also the PPO is near an all time high and just beginning to to cross over.
Also LABD (3x biotech bear) at an all time low
Any thoughts ?
