When the bears show up with volume and all major sectors at of the day, breaking daily pivots then I’ll pay attention. Bears havent proved squat this year. Im sure that will change but for now, rather look bull.

Yeah, I can’t recall the last time that bullishness was so extreme on the comments here. I just pointed out in a comment above that the broad market (S&P 500) has gained a whopping 1% over the past 2 weeks (from the 3/31 high), including today’s healthy rally. Adding to that, as my index shorts are focused on the Q’s, the $NDX is actually DOWN -0.8% since that YTD high on March 31st, even with today’s nearly 2% gain. Crazy as from the comments here lately, one would think the market has ripped 20%+ higher over the past couple of weeks.

As I like to say; While patience is a virtue in life, it is a must in trading. Additionally, if & when the technical posture of the market begins to change, so will my outlook but as of now, we’re still looking at one of the best swing short setups in many years IMO.

Yes, the negative divergence that was in place a couple of weeks ago on the GDX 60-min chart is still intact & has grown larger. I just did an update on gold & silver in a post-market video that is uploading now & should be published shortly. Awaiting bearish PPO crossovers on the daily charts of both GLD & EUR/USD to “confirm” the potential negative divergences on both.

You short when the VIX is low. You buy when the VIX is high. Volatility on every metric is crushed. Implied vol is lower than realized vol. Again, that’s when you short. I went in yesterday with the CPI gap-n-crap move. It will come down to bank earnings tomorrow and then will make decisions from there.
