I wouldn’t short anything for more than a couple hours in this bull market.

Sorry, I don’t actively trade options & not familiar with the wheel strategy. Maybe others can chime in?

I can’t speak from a fundamental perspective, as there are more moving parts with MOH & the fluid political landscape affecting it. From a technical (charting) perspective, the recent headlines just seem to align with the reaction that MOH has been experiencing since hitting the first price target.

While I can’t provide individual investing advice, I can say generically that I find it best to stick with a trading plan until something compelling changes. As with any trade, I wouldn’t fall in love with MOH (i.e., no oversized position size, keep stops in place, etc). If MOH can take out the recent highs (just above T1) that should help increase the odds of a backfill of that big gap up to T2. Here’s the updated chart.

So far, seasonality is keeping a bid beneath the market, despite the recent/current divergences & sell signals. Calling the near-term direction (before the end of the year) is usually tough around this time, but the best I can say is that solid breakdowns below BOTH these near-term uptrend lines (15-minute charts below) on SPY & QQQ are likely to spark the next drop within the big & sloppy trading range the market has been in. If so, that should give the $VIX a lift. Just can’t bet it hard or say with a very high degree of certainty right now.
