Is PBYI still a good entry after today’s pullback just above 9 ?

Does $8.42 bear any significance, which is about where it ended up? I bought at $9 and rode it all the way down. Not sure if it’s better to just sell or or just ride out any fluctuations. I am new to a lot of this, which why I make such a mistake. It’s my first position so no averaging down.

Is is the more so the company’s fundamentals or the chart technicals that make it a good long trade? With the end-of-day sell-off is the downtrend being resumed?

Similar situation here. I kept the stop loss too generous riding the stock all the way down, assuming that it would rebound to create a double top or flatten out. Could have been prevented going in above $9 and exiting at $9. Not sure what to do with this thing now. One is supposed to add small portions over time so your prices average out. Since I just learnt about this stock I took a larger position last minute. There is also a way to tell that the bear volume is increasing and no juice is left for the rest of the day.

I like the PBYI chart, entered when it hit the lower uptrend line, sold half of my position at around 9, and still holding the other half, although I tied up my stops to protect the profits.
My concern right now (and that’s why I’m not adding more at the moment) is that we recently hit RSI 73 on the hourly chart, and the few last times the stock did that – it then corrected. Plus it took it some effort to break the 8.9-9.0 resistance, and then it also hit the top of the recent trading range (between the downtrend line and the uptrend line). So some pullback here would not be entirely unexpected.
If that happens there’s a decent support at 8.2, which at that time will probably coincide with the lower uptrend line, and that’s where I may re-enter.

To follow-up to that reply, PBYI has since pulled back to 8.81 as of 1 pm EST. As such, although I still like the trade, I would not initiate or add to a position here, only above 9.00.

And just like that down $2k. Just gets so fing old. You would think by sheer blind luck would get one positive trade. Such shit.

The pros & cons of taking a breakout when using a daily time frame either during the trading session or waiting until the end of the day are:
-A breakout that occurs during the trading session & looks good at the time could fail, with the stock falling back & closing below the breakout level. Failed breakouts are usually bearish, with the stock continuing to fall from there.
-On the flip-side, the odds of a breakout sticking if the stock closes solidly above the breakout level, especially on 1.5x or better average volume, are higher. However, one potential downside to waiting for a daily close is that the stock could build substantially on the intraday gains above the point of the breakout, thereby providing a trader with a less favorable entry price or in some cases, a potentially explosive stock such as small biotechs (like PUMA) can run so much during the session that they either hit the first target or end up closing too close to the target to provide an objective entry with a favorable R/R at the end of the session.

One strategy is to take a fractional (maybe 1/2) position on the initial breakout & then add to that position if & when it looks like the breakout will likely stick.
