Basically, I don’t have a strong read on the near-term direction of UNH but can say that the stock has fallen to long-term support on the weekly chart (below) & could bottom here although it might also be forming a bear-flag continuation pattern.

Either way, one could make a case for an objective long entry here with a stop not to far below. Personally, I’d rather just let the dust settle a bit more before engaging this one. G-luck if you take/took it.

The exchanges can halt trading in a security when there are abnormally large moves & regarding circuit breakers on the stock market, if & when those kick in (we’re far from those conditions now), there’s not much one can do other than stick with your trading plan & stay very flexible as the technicals will be changing much more rapidly than they have been latest because the circuit breakers will only kick in during very strong market correction, bear market wave, or outright crash.

We’ll cross that bridge if & when we come to it & I’ll guarantee that I’ll be in front of the computer posting frequent updates if & when it happens.

$TYX (30-yr Treasury yield) is within just “a big day or two” of breaking out to new multi-year or even decade highs. While that may or may not happen soon, the stock market is playing Russian Roulette with more than 1 bullet in the chamber by not pricing in that risk. $VIX remains both a pure play long as well as a cheap hedge to long the major indices or stocks with a high correlation to the market.

Reading this^, individual securities have limit up-limit down. So today Tesla had the mechanism kick in as some Tesla stock owners panicked sell to get out?

And second question is; are there anything one should know to trade with or around circuit breakers in action?
