Trade long enough & it becomes mechanical & much less emotional: Wait for your pitch (YOUR type of trade setup) and then swing (enter the trade) if & when the entry criterion/criteria you were waiting for triggers. Set you stop-loss order & your closing trade (sell limit or buy-to-cover limit) at your price targets then sit back & wait. The trade will either pan out or not.

If trading with a plan & taking objective entries while using favorable R/R‘s on the trades, over time you should be profitable. If not, you’d want to continue to hone your skills and/or adapt your trading style or maybe even stick with long-term investing in a diversified portfolio if you find that you just don’t have the time, inclination, or skill-sets for swing trading.

Plenty of time before the end of the month plus, I don’t trade around what might or might not happen, I trade off the charts & right now they tell me that QQQ is likely to drop 5.5% over the next week or so.

Yes. A near or full backfill of the gap today provides an objective short entry or add-on as /NQ & QQQ are still below those uptrend lines on the intraday charts (15-120m) that they broke down below yesterday. In fact, QQQ is currently backtesting the TL (resistance) from below.
As per yesterday’s video, any marginal new high this week will only extend the existing divergences so additional backtests will also offer objective short entries. Here’s a 15m chart of the Q’s.
