In reply to Mikeflegel.

I did my best to address that in both the post above & then in a comment below:

Typical (non-active) swing and/or trend traders might opt to sit tight on any swing short positions taken on either the first sell signal last week (minor trend line break just off the ATH) and/or any position taken or added to on today's break below the uptrend lines off the Oct lows on SPY, QQQ, SOXX, etc..

Likewise, the next & even higher probability sell signal that will offer another objective short entry or add-on for those scaling (building) into a swing position will come on solid breaks and especially daily closes below last Tuesday's lows on the indexes as well as META & AMZN.

All the better if that happens on Thursday or after NVDA reports tmrw night as a very positive AND lasting reaction to NVDA earnings (not just a pop & drop) has the potential to bring the indexes back above those trendlines & make this a false (failed) breakdown.

FWIW- I have a fairly high-degree of confidence that the rally is over & not only is a new downtrend underway but that there is a good chance of a big drop this week & next but that's just me & how I'm positioning as an aggressive trader. To each their own.

Let's say somebody went short at 9:45. Eastern on in video they're ahead. Should they main maintain their short through your so called Bounce. I don't believe it's gonna bounce it all. But what about somebody who's short f n g d from the same nine forty five. Is he supposed to ride it out overnight. Thanks

I also want to add that I am not very confident that /NQ, assuming it does bounce off this support level, will make it as high as the arrow shows (17755ish). In fact, I don't favor that much of a bounce based on the fact the indexes have all triggered major sell signals today. As such, active traders that do decide to reverse from short to long here in attempt to game a bounce might want to keep a relatively tight stop below this support level and/or ratchet or trail up relatively tight stops if holding out for that level.
