The market is fickle. Today carnival cruise lines reported earnings that were less than expected on higher costs. The stock fell about 22% and is now valued less than the depths of covid…. Markets are going to market….
At first glance it makes no sense to be worth less than when the world was ending and no one was going on cruises, but here we are.

does this count as a supermassive divergent low? I purchased some 28 Oct 22 $7.5 calls.

In reply to Imadaytr8r. Holy smokes! you have to get while the getting is good. I got out of the trade towards the lows of the morning. My puts paid off! Thanks Randy for helping me to recognize the divergent high. Hit for a 120% gain in 2 days.

Hey Traders,
First off I hope Randy and his family are safe and sound.

There’s been a ton of action in the markets over the last several days and some good opportunities based on the charts.

SPY was 0.38% away from touching the 200ma today on the weekly chart. That may be close enough for a bounce.

QQQ closed a hair under the 200ma on the weekly chart. If buyers are going to step in, now is the time. I’m thinking that a reversal will begin next week. Tomorrow there is too much risk over weekend with the Russian war, UK bond crises, and whatever the FED might say next

I’m in two positions right now. A put option on CALM and a call option on SBLK. A divergent high and low respectively. The trades were aggressive but more or less in line with what Randy teaches. I’m up 32% on CALM puts and down 6.25% on SBLK.

Regarding SBLK, I almost didn’t take the position. I read about their industry and dry bulk ocean shipping is going to suffer as we continue in the economic slowdown. But then I remembered that we RSOTC-ers care about the charts. People and algos are voting with their dollars as evidenced by the charts.

I’ve been using the overall strategy of divergent highs and lows on a 1 min time frame. Definitely not for the faint of heart. Hit a 27% gain in AAPL options today. Apple fell over 4% because they will not increase production on the iphone 14 (the news doesn’t matter, we just trade the charts).

Around 15 min after the market open, a divergent low formed. I started scaling into 30 Sep 22 152.5 calls. There was also a bull flag that I missed. It almost played out perfectly for a top.
