Be careful when shorting the $VIX, or even going long, for that matter, unless you’re fairly confident & proficient in doing so.

I short the $VIX fairly regularly but only when I have a high degree of confidence the market is going to bounce **AND** when the $VIX is already elevated, not at the low-end of its range.

I personally added to grains which IMHO celebrated a bit too much as the fertilizer did not magically appear on fields because the strait is (semi)open.
I am also holding my index shorts for the following reasons:
1) Today’s volume in QQQ was below average and this entire 6-session explosion up happened on below-average volume.
2) CPI is out on Friday and Cleveland Fed does not predict it to be very positive for the markets.
3) The ceasefire is very flimsy.
4) Gaps are like magnets (as Randy always says).
The fact that today’s fade was weak and closure above all key moving averages is a counter-argument though.

I’m not sure, but you might want to do a quick Google search for “natural gas ETFs or K-1 free ETN or ETF” or something along those lines. Also, make sure to check the issuer’s website to confirm if you find one & please share it here if so.

Still not the most likely scenario, IMO, but if the indexes can hold above the 200-day MA’s as well as the mid-point support/resistance levels of the recent 6 month+ trading ranges on both QQQ & SPY, then the odds that the market will make a run at the previous ATHs goes up substantially.

My bet is still that this is a whipsaw/short-covering rally that will be faded by the end of this week or next, followed by another major leg down to my next longer-term swing & trend targets. That could change, but remains my preferred scenario & trading plan, for now.

Sure. Here’s my 60-minute chart of UNG with price targets. There are a couple more targets than I posted on /NG & some of those targets line up with the price targets on the previous UNG swing trade but always best to align entries & exits with the targets/support & resistance levels on /NG, as that is what UNG is attempting to track (minus the expenses they have for both management fees, future contract rolls, etc..).
