Nat gas futures prices often have much larger differences on the various months contracts compared with other futures such as the stock indices due to the volatile nature of nat gas prices & unique storage constraints. Last week, the Nov contract was the current (most active) and since the trade was posted then, I rolled into the Dec contract, as I said I would be doing in that initial post last week & then again when I posted the updated 120m chart of /NG yesterday (which was the Dec). Much more volume in the Dec now as the Nov contract stops trading this week.

I did a quick calculation using the price from the entry last week in which I was using the Nov contract, as that was the current contract with the most volume at the time. I made a point to state that I’d be rolling to the Dec contract soon & would follow up with a chart of that contract, which I did.

Your chart is showing the Nov contract which the last trading day is this Thursday (Oct 27). Volume is only 34k in the Nov & 104k in the Dec contract so that’s the one I’m trading & charting now. Due to the storage constraints of nat gas, the price can vary significantly from the near-month to further out months on the futures.

Pretty good IMO but negative divergences & minor uptrend line break on this /NG 10m chart are likely catalysts for a pullback to any or all of these support levels before the next leg up to T2 on the 120m chart.

My thinkorswim chart at TD AmeriTrade show 5.615 as today’s high as well! Your calculation of a 20% profit since Thursday seems a little rich ( pun intended) … could you clarify or revise please. Thanks
