Apparently there is some distortion in the short term price action that must be accounted for in the “continuous” ticker. @gklasinsky’s suggestion fixed the issue (not sure if tradingview has the same option). Charts are now consistent. Thanks for the reply.

Yes, I plan to do a second video or at least post some charts on the metals today in which I will include silver.

I covered /NG in a video update that I just finished & will post as soon as the upload finished. Basically, while my convictions on the near-term direction on nat gas aren’t very high right now, I would say that an objective entry on /NG is right were it is trading as I type this, right at the bottom of that support zone on the lowest support line that I have at 2.605 with a stop somewhat below. Since you are using log scaling, as I am, I’m not sure what is causing the difference although you definitely drew that trendline off the same candlesticks from around Oct 21st. I often notice differences in the futures charts between my IB TWS platform (the 60m charts I’ve been posting on /NG including the one above) and the futures charts on investing.com (which uses the same charting platform as tradingview.com). My best guess would be what @gklasinsky said in the comment below about a setting to adjust for contract changes/rolls.

On TOS you have to check the box for “adjust for contract changes” under “chart settings”, “Futures”. Then your futures charts should look like Randy’s

I have the TL that looks like yours but different than Randy’s, maybe it’s TOS and Randy’s using Interactive Broker charting
