Should it be called a stimulus anymore? If you look at what they have already done, they system would have broken if they hadn’t of made the moves. Maybe is should be called a band-aid. The economy is dead so there is nothing to stimulate. If they prop up the markets as the fundamentals deteriorate, it will create a huge bubble that will pop even harder. One would hope they are smarter then that. Then again these are crazy times. I’m still shocked at the guy that posted on this site about buying his tesla may 1000 calls.

I know there are many replies above, but many are short and arent geared towards someone new to trading.

You can either short SPY directly, or an equivalent to shorting is to buy an inverse ETF that rises as SPY falls. The ETFs used to ‘short’ SPY, are:
SH – non leveraged ETF
SDS – 2 times leveraged ETF
SPXS – 3 times leveraged ETF.

Be sure to check Randys screenshots above for targets and entry points. If you are new, I would recommend getting your feet wet in the non leveraged SH fund, and avoid the leveraged funds for the time being.

Google inverse ETF funds. There you will see a definition of what they are and a list of the different sectors you can buy.

Depends on your time horizon. I’m scaling into shorts but but will probably continue to scale in for next few weeks and take profits later in the year.

Forget about buying puts. That is way too dangerous unless you know what you are doing. Buying the SH etf is the same as shorting the SPY.

Again I am new at this. The SH chart is inverted. Buying a Put on that works in reverse similar to a Put on SPY? I can not buy a Call on my Account.

If you’re that new, you shouldn’t be buying puts. SPXS is a safer option if you want to be aggressive. Market can always go up or down.

You can use a short ETF like SH to short ES

There is talk in the fake news this next round of funding will be too small! Stopping immigration completely signals that somebody made a mistake being too generous on the unemployment package. Trump is making a defensive move so immigration doesn’t steal the jobs that will stay vacant longer then anticipated because worker will enjoy making more on unemployment until July 31st! All points to a much slower recovery thus the market got too far out over it’s skis so time to correct … BIG TIME!
