Soxx looks pretty ripe here. What's the trendline we should watch here, Randy?

And yes! I am very new here. Just subbed very recently, but have been following your YouTube channel since the COVID crash. Took a break from trading, but now back and decided I needed a bit more guidance than just "let's see if this works out."

In reply to PaleFlame.

To your first question, I still suspect this could prove to be a bear market rally, but that's where one gets into the semantics of what is a "bear market".

If one simply uses one of the popular market-cap weighted indices, such as the S&P 500 or Nasdaq 100, then they have just made new highs, so it is not a bear market rally. However, "THE" stock market, if you included the entire universe of U.S.-traded stocks, may or may not be in the early stages of a bear market. (The equal-weighted S&P 500 is currently testing its previous highs from Feb & April)

Only one of the 11 sectors of the S&P 500, tech (via XLK), has recently broken out to a new all-time high. The other 10 peaked in 2025 or early 2026. Additionally, over half (58%) of the stocks in the Nasdaq are trading below their 200-day moving averages. Again, the cap-weighted indexes are clearly in a bull market & the entire "stock market" may be or it may have "collectively" peaked already. Doesn't really matter, though, as far as a swing trader is concerned (to an investor, yes). Swing traders make $ swinging the rallies & corrections within the larger bull & bear trends.

Either way, right or wrong on my previous call on the stock market or any security/trade, for that matter, it doesn't change how I trade. I sit down at my desk every morning & try my best to look at the charts with fresh eyes. As of today, /NQ just broke down below that minor uptrend line, triggering the first sell signal in weeks & if/when it takes out that primary uptrend line on the 60m chart, that will be an even more powerful sell signal, IMO, that will likely trigger a deeper selloff. If this one doesn't pan out, I'll take the next swing on an /NQ trade, long or short, when I see a pitch (setup) that I like.

An /NQ or QQQ trade, long or short, is just one single trade/position in what should be a diversified trading or investment account with other positions, with or without any correlation.

On the 2nd thing, I'll look into that notification issue asap.

expected reaction (as denoted by arrow break in previous charts) off the initial tag of the 28630 support with /NQ offering an objective short entry on this backtest and/or a break of the 28630 support
