I was grabbing the last available shortable shares on IBKR yesterday after hours and the order was still filled in only partially. I was watching the action on it at 9:42AM EST this morning and saw the bid evaporate and the stock dropped almost 15% in a matter of 2 seconds. I made a beautiful ~20% profit in a day, but it further underscores that market makers do whatever they want on such thinly traded stocks and this is only marginally safer than a casino :-)
