Gotcha, so pretty much short all rallies from now on until technicals change right? I'm trying to catch AMZN but the earnings scared me out to stay on the sidelines, looking back now I feel like I missed out. I did open up some puts near the top yesterday. My trading plan now is that if price rallies up again, I'll add on to my position. And if price breaks below 1600 impulsively, I'll add to the position as well, targeting T3. Curious to know your thoughts about my plan here. Is this sound?

By "after the big potential long is realized", do you mean after the next meaningful (1-week and/or 8%+) rally in the stock market? If so, it depends. For example, if we drop another 5% or more before this correction is over, then yes, I do think that next rally would end up being a counter-trend rally that falls shy of the recent ATH's in the major indices & once it runs its course, that could be the next setup for another swing shorting opp for the next leg down.

hey Randy, after that big potential long is realized, does that mean this correction is over? Or does it set up for another big leg down to test lower levels?
