Since we're on commodities. It seems USCI a major basket of all commodities had a look above the down trend with some interesting volume. It will be interesting to see if it can build on those gains next week and break out.

For me coffee came in a bounced off the previous resistance @ 126 which I was looking for, I'm long looking for around 172 which is near enough to the 0.382 fibonacci retracement from the entire move down from 2011.

I believe that also aligns with a similar long term target to you Randy?

Any thoughts welcome.

so since palladium and the market have a positive correlation, is this a leading indicator of what is to come to in the market? or is that just wishful thinking from a bear?

I stand corrected. Although I'm usually running 3 or 4 different charting platforms on various monitors, I typically have my SPY, QQQ & IWM charts on TC2000, which is showing SPY at +0.06% instead of 0.6%. Usually don't see them off like that, must have to do with the ex-dividend adjustment that @RonkoTonko mentioned below. Thx for clarifying.

All the major ETFs had today thier ex-dividend date. Some ignore the dividend and that may show +0.6% today. The ones that do not ignore it show everything essentially being flat.

Yep. The SKEW index has basically rallied up to the extreme level it hit shortly before the big market plunge last fall. The SKEW index is primarily calculated with OTM options whereas the VIX is based off ATM (at-the-money) strikes so basically SKEW extremes like this show a lot of out-of-the money put protection as investors & fund managers are trying to hedge their downside risk in case of a black swan event or big drop in the market. Thanks for sharing the chart.

SPY is trading +0.09% which is essentially flat. 99.9% of the time, the indexes are not trading at 0.00% (perfectly flat) so most would consider a gain or loss of less than 1/10th or even a quarter of a percentage point as essentially flat, at least I do.
