The hourly divergence indicated a rally today as he said. Hoping that what we saw today was the end of that divergence playing out? Is that possible @rsotc or are you thinking bigger rally still going forward a while based on those divergences?

Which hour do you use? On the hour or 10:30, 11:30, etc?

@rsotc am I correct in saying that even if NQ does go higher in the near future it will be a rather large negative divergence on both the RSI and PPO based on the charts from this video?

It depends if I'm trading on that time frame. Basically, it's pretty simple: You can use a break of a support or resistance level on one of the short-term term frames if that level shows well on various time frames. The primary advantage of using the shorter time frame is, as you said, to get an early jump and as such, a potentially better entry price, vs. waiting for confirmation via a candlestick close on one of the longer time frames. The downside to that is that the shorter the time frame you use for your buy/sell trigger, the greater the chances it will prove to be a fleeting whipsaw (false breakout) signal. Whether I opt to take the early buy/sell signal or wait for a longer-term confirming candle will usually depend on how confident I am that the breakout will stick.
