I can’t think of any single stock that stands out as a short but I have been stating my favorite sectors on the short side are semis, tech, restaurants & other leisure sectors (cruise ships, hotels, casinos, etc…

Once AAPL & AMZN earnings are out of the way tmrw & into next week, should they go the way I suspect they will, one of those FAANG-focused ETFs or their inverse counterparts such as FNGD would probably provide more downside potential than shorting the more diversified Nasdaq 100 via QQQ, SQQQ, etc.. Of course, that cuts both ways so if the market likes what AAPL & AMZN are selling, the Nasdaq could get another leg up. Hence, just one more reason to always spread your bets via diversifying among various sectors & asset classes such as stocks, bonds, commodities, etc…
