ETSY hit my first price target (T1) recently & I was waiting to see a solid breakout above that significant resistance level. However, the stock had put in a divergent high around T1 recently & although it was coming off a much bigger divergent low (at the April lows), Trump put a knife through ETSY’s heart by eliminating the ‘de minimus” provision, which was a huge benefit for companies selling a lot of low-priced items being shipped from outside the US, such as Temu & Etsy.

Not sure what the ultimate fallout will be for ETSY but the market has been pricing that in. You can read about that here:

For people with smaller accounts, there is no PDT (pattern day trader) rule so you can make as many round trips in a day as you’d like. I wish I knew that 5/6 years ago.

I noticed they were running late last week & passed on mentioning (or taking them) as it appears that train has already left the station.

They point to what stage this rally is at (latter/tail-end) as it’s a full-blown dash-for-trash on low-price meme stocks & speculative stocks with questionable (or outright lousy) fundamentals.

The pot stocks could certainly continue to run, just not my style to chase them at this point.
