Since markets during times like these move so fast, even giving us screen shots or even just a quick post as you did today stating you are reversing sure does help. 30 – 45 minute videos are fantastic but during these times, the market can shift within a 5 minute candle. No matter what equity we are trading, if QQQ or SPY shifts it will take every stock with it. So just a quick post sure does help. Made good money this week so thank you for your analysis and info!! I think what I’m seeing is during times of volatility and uncertainty, TA, resistance and support levels seem to truly come into play. Thanks again for all that you do.

That’s one trend change indicator I like to use on the weekly chart but if there was just one single 401k (i.e.- in or out of the market) indicator to use, it would have to be the 20-period EMA on the monthly charts of SPY & QQQ (bullish/long equities when above it/bearish or short equities when they are below it… on a monthly closing basis.)

QQQ & SPY weekly PPO histograms recently crossing below zero coupled with the recent sell signals (trendline breakdowns, backtests, & rejections) as well as the follow-up sell signals on SOXX puts me on a bearish intermediate-term bias with the potential for those recent sell signals to morph into more powerful sell signals on some of my longer-term trend indicators, moving averages, trendline & price support levels.

i.e.- Hard to say with a high degree of confidence whether this is just another correction or the start of a bear market, although the potential is about as high for the latter as it has been in years.. just need some more work to be done on the charts to firm it up.
