Thanks Randy, i'm without downside participation right now but will consider something more directly related to QQQ or SOX. Maybe with a side helping of VIX.

In reply to jmccallum.

Actually, the most important index of all, at least IMO, the Nasdaq 100 (QQQ), isn't even close to a new high today, but yes, the other big ones, such as $SPX & $DJIA, have solid negative divergences on their marginal new highs.

The Nasdaq Composite is also still comfortably below its all-time highs from early June, as is the equal-weighted Nasdaq 100. With that being said, I've been covering a marginal new & still divergent high in the Q's as my alternative scenario for weeks or even the last couple of months since we topped in numerous videos. Still just my alternative scenario & that scenario still has QQQ going to the same place as my primary scenario (T4 on the 60-min chart of the official short trade).

Despite the strong rally over the last few days (which came off the hit of T2 on the QQQ short trade), even those that didn't game any or all of this bounce off T2 (or the bounce off T1) are still profitable from the initial short entry.

Therefore, a marginal new high in QQQ could take that trade slightly underwater & still go on to play out, but only time will tell. So many other tasty & profitable fish to fry lately & as you might have noticed, a lot of my trades have hit their final target or an earlier target which I revised to the final target (like SPCX & IBM today). That's a reflection of my own trading, which has been harvesting (booking) a lot of profits recently, first on shorts last week when QQQ T2 was hit along with all the semis I covered hitting price targets around the same time and this week, booking profits on a lot of longs & being very selective on adding any new long exposure (in fact, added back some short exposure on the $NDX & semis today).
