Agreed, it is always worth revisiting which indicators worked & which didn't. Just to clarify, although I was very much aware of the various breadth reading on various indexes in recent months, I intentionally chose not to highlight those for several reasons. Those recent charts that I posted in the trading room were simply a reply to a post with a link to someone else's analysis. That individual had only highlighted the divergence or outperformance on the NYSE A/D line while either intentionally or unintentionally failing to mention the fact that the leading index throughout the entire bull market, Nasdaq, was certainly not telling the same story. I was simply pointing that out to paint a more complete picture of market breadth off the Dec lows.

Sure, that's a fair observation - ie; NYSE A/D vs NAZ A/D Line - but let's re-visit in a couple of months and see if this indicator really is useful or not :)

Taiwan too. If China decides to try and take it, that could be a catalyst as well imo. It would hurt our technology made in taiwan and our relationship with china. All bad. No idea if it will happen any time soon though

That's certainly a possibility but you may want to check out this recent thread which points out that the Nasdaq Advancing vs. Declining issues is telling a different story than the NYSE A/D plus, a @francisq mentions, the NYSE might not be the best index to use for really anything regarding the US stock market.
Just food for thought.

I agree ... Bears aren’t dead, just hibernating. The catalyst for the next Bear feast most likely will be the failed China trade talks ... Trump has long seen China as a massive threat and has mulled over the years before he became President as to what a mistake it’s been pumping up a Communist enemy. I believe Trump is in the process of a TPS (Trade Paradigm Shift) away from China to India. Like Regan, Trump will brake the back of this generation’s Communist enemy without a shot being fired! Trump has no intentions of going back to business as usual with China. When the never Trumpers in the Financial Media finally grasp this fact they will whip the Bears into a stampede! The market jolted down in the 4th quarter with no recession in sight and it’s about to happen again ?!

Snake oil salesmen picking their prey. Certainly still seeing a pattern of distribution the past several days as the rally strength fizzles out. I'm still short, 11.50 stop on SQQQ was never hit today and I simply cut earlier expiration puts and opened a vertical bear spread on QQQ. Maybe I'm too bearish, only time will tell in the coming days.
