Conversely, GLD trading as low as 116.27 at the bottom of the orange gap support zone in the 60-minute chart above. As such, any significant upside in the dollar & downside in GLD today will take out that gap support & could be the catalyst for a move down in GLD to the 115 area. Until then, support is support until broken.
