I closed out my GLD position but would like to add back in as a hedge against my short positions on equities. I’m thinking about scaling into a small position with a little at ~156 and the rest at ~153.5 if it drops that low. However, it looks like its been trending with SPY. At some point it will become a safe haven again and move at an inverse to SPY? I’m thinking cash would be safer. Any opinions are welcome.

In reply to vikingwrath. Thanks Randy, I decided to close half of this yesterday when it got over 163. Will give the rest a little wiggle room. Nice call on this trade!

Sold all my GLD at 162 yesterday. Some gold bugs are saying $2000 for gold in 2020 though. Will see how it plays out.
