I haven't touched Silver or Gold long or short. I dont recall you giving much weight to them in your analysis. But I do remember you specifically mentioning that you were short Silver approx 3 month ago. You caveated by talking about how you dont trade all the setups you present on this site and equally on occasion you mention you are trading but dont present the trade on here. It's mostly about what you say you are doing as opposed to what you suggest that I find interesting. For example going home short on equities over the last 5 earnings. Madness can be defined as doing the same thing over and again and expecting a different outcome. I did the same and this site helped me with that bad decision, but Ive come to terms with the fact that I was wrong. Maybe you could admit that too?

Decided to try and catch the falling knife. The drop in gold futures and the miners seems too steep given current market conditions. (govt shutdown with no end in sight, FED to cut more, tariff uncertainty) Plus the charts show that the price dropped very close to a trendline I drew and the MA50 on NUGT.

First of all I assume that's a poke or do you really think I or anyone on this planet has been short silver for the past 3 mos? I've gone long & short silver dozens if not hundreds of times over the past decade or so.

Second, I just pulled the archives on silver & the nearest update on silver 3 months ago was here in this video on July 25th. As you can see (hear), I clearly stated SLV as a trade setup that needed to trigger a sell signal (short entry) on a break below the uptrend line off the April 4th low. SLV never broke below that trendline, instead it continued to ride it up for a bit & then started going parabolic. No sell signal = no entry/trade.

https://youtu.be/5-g1i5AtktM?si=O3ZbCMd1qf7YEehI&t=1682

If you've been long silver for the last few sessions & you lost money or gave back a lot of profits, please don't take that out on me or anyone else that might have profited from this recent drop. I point out objective long & short entries on whatever I see at the time; some trades pan out, some don't..period. Pass on the one's you don't like (as you apparently did on this short) & take the trades that you do like.

That trendline I was waiting for a sell signal on SLV 3 mos ago is the one that's been on the daily chart of SLV I posted recently, where T1 comes in.

interesting article on cattle.Drought, screw fly is keeping production low. There are no immediate fixes unless the government completely manipulates the market by importing from south america.

The high prices are likely to stick, until the customer balks at these high prices.

These hits of the price targets on gold & GDX also coincides with /SI (silver futures) hitting my 17ish target although I need to reiterate that while this is where the buyers "should" step in & cause a bounce off these levels, do not underestimate how powerful a crowded rush for the exits on one of the most crowded trades in years or even decades can be.

Active & nimble traders might opt to try & game a bounce while longer-term swing & trend traders might opt to sit tight on any short positions, if holding out for additional downside in the coming days, weeks, or even months. (and long-term gold/silver/GDX bulls could use these support levels to buy or add back any positions they locked in gains on following the recent sell signals). Previous & updated 60m charts of /SI below.
