I remember you said previously when both technical and fundamental give a go ahead (both show us the same direction) that's the sweet spot. Do you think using some leading indicators like ISM data/reports, building permits etc could be a good way of idea generation and use TA to find good entries. So before looking at the chart we have bearish or bullish view. Do you think leading indicators could somehow increase the probability of having a better view. I heard that's what hedge funds do and really like to know your thoughts, is that even correct? for retail traders its all a mystery how the big guys get their views and pick directions.

Win some, lose some but I can tell you that technical analysis is the closest thing to magic that I've ever seen. As a business major going on to embark on a career as a stockbroker/financial advisor after graduating, I had a strong background in fundamental analysis & in fact, that was all I learned in college & it was all they taught us during my initial training at Merrill Lynch back in the early 90's (no technical analysis). It was only years later that I discovered what I've always referred to as the "magic" of technical analysis (charting) & from there, embarked on a path learning everything I could about TA, cutting my teeth while trading part-time until I reached a point where I had to choose between an established & lucrative career of selling stocks & bonds to my clients or buying stocks & bonds for myself (i.e.- active trading). Walked away from a 16 yr career as a broker to become a full-time trader & my only regret is that I didn't do it sooner.

Amazing! Looks like BTC overshot $10400 resistance and immediately pulled back all the way to $9000. Daily candle looking crazy. Wondering how weekly closes on Sunday
