Comments on: Equities, Gold, Coffee, Nat Gas, & Energy 11-5-20 https://rightsideofthechart.com/equities-gold-coffee-nat-gas-energy-11-5-20/ Stock Trading, Investing & Market Analysis Mon, 04 Oct 2021 19:20:02 +0000 hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=6.9.4 By: timboz https://rightsideofthechart.com/equities-gold-coffee-nat-gas-energy-11-5-20/#comment-20572 Thu, 05 Nov 2020 22:34:40 +0000 https://rightsideofthechart.com/?p=203063#comment-20572 with the Yen’s impulsive breakout yesterday it now looks like the Yen has decisively broken years long resistance and trendline supports … like the EUR it has been hovering in a threatening area for 15 weeks mostly closing weekly above the 104.80 level but now seems the “beyond a doubt” 104.10 support level broke and the dollar promptly plunged to the mid 103s … I think the EUR should follow … with 101 level the seeming next destination, this makes me very suspicious of the Japanese “market” rallies which usually move in tandem – there has been a divergence in market direction and Yen direction since March … the Nikkei 225 is only 1% from 30 year highs but is a flawed price weighted index and it has been common to see 1% up days with only 50 green stocks against 170 red stocks … the less watched (internationally) Topix market weighted indexes are still in an unbroken downtrend off 2018 highs and 13% below those highs … anyway I am probably the only one here who cares about Japan markets but dominoes are falling for the dollar …

I am talking about intraday. Randy spoke about shorting nasdaq today and futures just held around the same level after breaking the up TL. Maybe they’ll dump in AH, but the whole day they have been just grinding around, like waiting for something to happen.
