Yes, XLF is starting to dip (albeit, not by much nor impulsively, only down -0.11% right now) below that 51ish support & remember, it also has the key 200-day SMA & <abbr class='c2c-text-hover' title='An exponential moving average (EMA) is a type of moving average that is similar to a simple moving average, except that more weight is given to the latest data. I don't consider today's new ATH in SOXX a true "breakout". I would consider it a breakout if SOXX had been bumping on the same ceiling/price level for a while & then suddenly broke out & continued to move solidly above that resistance level or trading range.

Plus, you have half of the market-leading Mag 8 big tech stocks reporting tonight & tmrw (Thurs) after the close, so entering a new long position in the semis (sub-sector of tech) would be a crapshot right now, IMO.

Should we go long SOX as it has a breakout. Your comments would indicate that the only play would be go long on a breakout?

ADBE still very much in a bear trend (below 200-day/40-wk MA's, purple boxes) but coming up on the key 278 long-term support with bullish divergences so an oversold bounce/bear market rally likely soon unless QQQ & SPY clearly break below the current trading ranges.Weekly chart below plus, see my daily chart (in active long trades) for daily price targets, T1 was already hit).

Here are my daily & weekly charts of ORCL. On one hand, ORCL continues to build positive divergences on the daily chart. Therefore, IF the stock market, particularly QQQ, makes a solid & sustained breakout above the multi-month trading range, I would expect ORCL to play a game of catch-up with the rest of the tech stocks.

On the downside, ORCL recently took out & remains solidly below it's 200-day (aka- 40-week) moving averages, which signals that the current trend is now bearish. Better fish to fry elsewhere at this time, IMO, although if the stock can put in some half-decent evidence of a reversal AND the stock market/Mag 8 look good at the time, then a case for an objective long can be made.
