The problem I have with it is that when every post and video is a short-term counter trend trade, that certainly muddies up the longer-term swing and trend trade plan. Dumb folks like me can be swayed out of good trades when every post seems to be counter to it.

I think the R/R for the semis (SOXX) is currently skewed towards being long & at the very least, lowering stops to protect profits on any shorts as I have SOXX at support with divergences, similar to the $NDX, & favor a decent rally in both.

I was kidding. There is zero sense to be long and short the same instrument. let’s say you have a 100% position size short on QQQ. Then in another account, you begin adding a long position starting with 20% size. That is literally the same thing as closing out 20% of your short position, making it an 80% sized position.

Not only does it not make any sense to do that from a logic standpoint, but it also makes no sense from a tax standpoint. Why make all those additional trades?
