Not really, or at least I don’t have a strong opinion on the very near-term outlook on the miners or Treasuries. GDX hit my first target on the daily chart & bounced as expected so far, but it also hit (for the 3rd day since) and closed on that March 18/19th gap backfill (top of gap).

Coin toss odds right now on whether it punches above that to the next & even bigger resistance around 92.24 in the near-term, but I still maintain my next (lower) downside targets (T2 & T3 on the daily chart) in the coming weeks/months.

In the very near-term (tmrw/Tue & the next few sessions), that can go either way as the major indices, several key stocks, & sectors fell to & closed on or around pretty decent support levels today. Should the market bounce this week, $VIX will most likely pull back. Should the supports get sliced through & QQQ falls to that much more significant support I have at T3 on my daily chart (537.50ish), $VIX will continue to climb.

Honestly, a wildcard that is largely dependent on crude pulling back substantially for the market to get that counter-trend bounce, I’m leaning towards, but if crude continues to climb: Stocks lower, $VIX higher.

That’s all “this week” near-term outlook. I still think there’s plenty more downside in the stock market & more upside in $VIX, quite like to $60 or above, before all is said & done in the coming weeks to months.

and yes short term trades can be VERY PROFITABLE …..EX: $1 low put price in am $8 now….:) Or just hold those /ES or /MES instead…..
