Sure. In fact, I stated in one of the videos today (2nd one??) that I'd give it close to a 50/50 chance whether the market rallies (for a few days to weeks) or tanks, post NVDA. However, with the $VIX perking up recently as well as SPY, QQQ, & SOXX all triggering decent sell signals on the daily & weekly charts in recent weeks (sell signals that remain intact for now), the R/R is not bilateral as the chance of a very sharp & swift drop outweighs the chance for an equally powerful rip to the upside. Either scenario is possible with decent odds on each, hence my preference to go home very light tonight (mild net short exposure) & wait to see how the market reacts to NVDA before adding to (or subtracting/closing) that small short position. I like pushing it hard when my confidence on the near-term direction is high & taking it light when it's not.

That already happened within the first half-hour or so of trading today, but another run at & probably past it to the next target(s) before the close today is still likely IMO (but unlikely that QQQ will hit that max potential bounce target before the close)

The JPY 40-yr had dropped of my radar recently but thx for pointing that out. Should be a heading for global equity markets. Definitely something to continue to monitor in the credit markets along with the BDC's, US Treasuries, junk bonds/credit spreads, etc..

You're lucky if you have a 401k with a brokerage option, as many 401ks provide little to no chance to profit in a bear market as they only offer "long only" mutual fund options (domestic & international stocks, bonds, and cash/money market fund). No short/inverse funds, no commodities (again, generally speaking), no precious metals, etc..

For those 401k's, the best option might be to sit out the next bear market in cash while waiting patiently to position for the multi-week to multi-month bear market rallies when the charts confirm.

Either way, probably best for most to invest long-term with 401k funds & swing trade (long & short) with a trading account or other accounts earmarked for swing trading but absolutely nothing wrong with moving out of most or all equity funds once bulk of long-term trend indicators flip to bearish with other confirming long-term sell signals on the weekly & monthly charts.
