stopped out on DGAZ as I tightened up my stops. The cold weather rolling in the next few days may temper the drop. Will get back in if a opportunity arises.
Good trade either way. Thanks <a class='bp-suggestions-mention' href='https://rightsideofthechart.com/members/rsotc/' rel='nofollow'>@rsotc</a>

I plan to lower stops fairly tight if/when /NG gets down to around 2.80 as although I favor a bounce off the 2.78ish support, /NG could continue down through there & go on to backfill the gap below & possibly then some. Tightening up stops means that I risk giving back some profits, should /NG reverse off 2.78 but also allowing my profits to run, should nat gas continue to fall.
As of now, /NG still needs to take out the 2.83ish support with conviction as it has tested that level several times since breaking below the wedge yesterday, including 2 additional successful tests so far today.

In reply to <a href="https://rightsideofthechart.com/dgaz-trade-entry-price-target-2/#comment-13304">dissoupov</a>.

I remain intermediate-term bullish on nat gas & have been since around the time it bottomed back in July (see the white charts in this post: https://rightsideofthechart.com/price-targets-for-ng-ugaz/ )
However, like the most recent time I posted /NG as a short at the end of Oct after trading it long, I am just looking for another relatively quick pullback trade, not a major trend reversal.
/NG broke below that 60-minute wedge after stalling at resistance so there were two objective short entries on nat gas today; the first on the overbought run into resistance & the 2nd (and the official entry for this trade) when /NG broke down below that 60-min rising wedge pattern.
As with any trade, it will either pan out or not. Regarding stops for /NG, that depends on several factors unique to each trader: 1) Entry price or avg. cost, if scaling in with multiple lots. 2) One's preferred price target(s). 3) One's preferred stop allowance.
Generally speaking, if targeting the top of that big gap below around 2.782 (about a 3%+ drop), then a stop about 1%-1 1/2% above would make sense or a larger stop if planning to ride it down for a backfill (i.e- move to the bottom) of that gap.

Some of the nat gas ETNs are DGAZ (3x short, chart above), UGAZ (3x long) & UNG (non-leveraged long). I also mentioned /QG (nat gas e-mini futures) in ths post as another proxy for trading nat gas.
