Yes the RV moving/hauling brokers are begging all drivers to come in because they are so swamped with loads. Some drivers who may only do one or 2 a month ain’t enough to haul the demand. There have been times in the past when my friend struggles to get a load but not in quite a while.

I wish I had bought at $8 although I can say that I wouldn’t have as I couldn’t make a case to go long at 8. I was watching the stock in premarket to see how it would trading following last night’s earnings (which initially knocked it down as low as 7.25) but no matter what it did, I wasn’t going to take it until/unless it broke above 10.14 to clearly take out that resistance level.

I just finished a video in which I covered about a dozen or so stocks within the Recreational Vehicles sector, although that sector also includes motorcycles (HOG), UTV’s (Polaris & BRP, maker of SkiDoos & SeaDoos) as well as boat manufacturs such as MPXX & MBUU). Overall, the sector looks bullish. Video uploading now.

I’d be glad to expand on my reasoning for the trade here as most of the reasons are pretty much contained on that chart above.
CWH recently broke out above a very well-defined nearly 2-yr downtrend line after putting in large positive (bullish) divergences at the recent lows in Sept. I held off on posting it when it broke above the downtrend line on Oct 28th for 3 reasons:
1) The breakout was far from impulsive. Ideally, you want to see impulsive buying on 1.5X or better the average volume on a breakout to confirm it. Breakouts that occur on muted price action and/or average to below-average volume have a higher rate of failure that impulsive breakouts that occur on 1.5x or better volume.
2) The breakout came just before the companies earning report. Taking a breakout shortly before a company reports run a very high risk of being caught on the wrong side of a big gap, should the earnings report catch most traders off guard.
3) Even if both 1 and 2 weren’t reasons to hold of, I wouldn’t have taken an impulsive breakout above the downtrend line at least not until that very significant gap resistance level just above 10.00 was taken out (i.e.- that’s what I refer to as the BOD or ‘benefit of the doubt’ resistance level… always best to wait for the 2nd of two R level in close proximity to be taken out before establishing a position).

I’ve also been struggling to find attractive Growth & Income trade ideas (stocks that both pay a decent dividend and also have above-average growth potential along with bullish looking charts & a well-defined, objective level/buy-trigger in which to go long).

Is that recent? There were so many articles out about 6 months ago from RV dealers and manufacturers were getting crushed with low sales.

FWIW, a friend who hauls campers for a living from Indiana to across the country says sales are incredible. It looks like retirees are opting to downsize into RVs rather than smaller homes and condo’s. Makes sense.

Along with CWH, CLVS (a biotech stock) is another setup that I had on my watchlist as potential long trade ideas but waiting for earnings to be out of the way (both reported yesterday). I wasn’t able to get CLVS posted today before it ripped after the open to hit my first price target although a break above 5.07-5.10 should open the door to my next two targets.
