Again, the latter (New Highs/Lows vs. $COMPQ) has quite a few whipsaws but I like how the histogram gives a quick visual representation of those &quot;mountains&quot; that invert when the 20-&lt;abbr class=&#039;c2c-text-hover&#039; title=&#039;An exponential moving average (EMA) is a type of moving average that is similar to a simple moving average, except that more weight is given to the latest data. This type of moving average reacts faster to recent price changes than a simple moving average. (source: investopedia.com)&#039;&gt;ema&lt;/abbr&gt; crosses above or below the $NAHL line. While not a stand-alone buy/sell indicator due to the number of whipsaws, like most other trend indicators, I find it useful in either confirming or refuting any other current or pending buy or sell signals and it currently looks poised to make a bearish cross after a prolonged bullish signal or &quot;mountain&quot; on the histogram.]]></description>
